December 2004
“Results... Everyday” is a monthly book review for business owners who share the philosophy of building a business that contributes to your Spiritual Objective and the Company’s Strategic Vision.”
This month we are recommending:
The 8th Habit, Stephen R. Covey
Fifteen years ago, Covey wrote the best seller and a personal favorite of mine; The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. Joining those 7 is number 8; seize the day. He encourages us to find our own voice and inspire others to do the same.
As 2005 approaches, take the steps to prepare next years strategy for your life and your business. Think about what is important to you and your business. Are you living in alignment with your vision, action and spirit? Are you directly contributing to your Life Purpose? Is the business performing consistent with your expectations? Everyday is an opportunity. Take advantage of the opportunity. Live your life with passion and purpose.
Covey’s 8 Habits
- Be proactive.
- Begin with the end in mind.
- Put first things first.
- Think win/win.
- Seek first to understand, then to be understood.
- Synergize.
- Sharpen the saw.
- Find your voice and inspire others to do the same.
